Biography
Ehsan Afshari was a 39-year-old Iranian-Swedish dual citizen. He was shot twice in the abdomen and side by Islamic Republic security forces in Tehran on January 8, 2026, and subsequently died from his injuries. His family was notified of his death the following day and later found his body in Kahrizak, identifiable only by a tattoo on his hand due to the condition of his face.
احسان افشاری، شهروند ۳۹ ساله و دوتابعیتی ایرانی-سوئدی بود. او در تاریخ ۱۸ دیماه ۱۴۰۴ در تهران بر اثر شلیک دو گلوله به شکم و پهلو توسط مأموران جمهوری اسلامی مجروح شد و جان باخت. خانوادهاش فردای آن روز از مرگ او مطلع شدند و پیکرش را اواخر دیماه در کهریزک یافتند که به دلیل وضعیت صورتش، تنها از طریق تتوی روی دستش قابل شناسایی بود.
